Includes samples of home sauna and commercial sauna room building materials. These are all of the sauna liner materials that fit your pre-framed sauna room indoors or in outdoor building. Our sauna woods start from logs and lumber dried to our specifications. Before making a major purchase for the sauna of your dreams, get our sample pack and see Superior Sauna's quality. Bench, backrest and trim materials have matching 3/4 round radius edges.

Clear Select Red Cedar Tounge and Groove Paneling 1/2"
Our 3 1/2" wide Western Red Cedar sauna wood paneling is a clear grain premium grade (no knots). Each tongue & groove paneling board starts out as a 1×4", milled to perfection. Actual board size is 3 1/2" wide coverage and 1/2" thick with lengths available up to 8 feet. Traditional v-groove style tounge and groove boards. Cedar sauna woods are strong, lightweight and generally do not warp or shrink over time. Red Cedar woods provide a more comfortable and cooler sauna surface to sit and lean on, compared to more dense sauna woods. Cedar sauna wood naturally repels many bacteria, fungi and insects. All Cedar sauna woods have an aromatic scent, but the heartwood of Red Cedar trees has the strongest aroma and is popular in many American traditional saunas.

Aspen Tounge and Groove Wood Paneling
4" wide Aspen sauna wood paneling is a great choice for any residential or commercial sauna. Public saunas, health club saunas and hotels can accomodate more sauna guests with this non-allergenic type of Aspen sauna paneling. Each tongue & groove paneling board starts out as a 1×5", milled to perfection with a waterfall groove style Tounge & Groove milling pattern for a tighter superior seal. Actual board size is 4" wide coverage and 3/4" thick with lengths available up to 8 feet. Non-allergenic Aspen sauna wood is used in hospital saunas in Finland and Europe, so people with sensitive allergic conditions can benefit from steam sauna use for health and recovery.
Nordic Spruce Tounge and Groove Paneling
Nordic Spruce sauna wood paneling is a great choice for any residential or commercial sauna. The quality rustic look (with small tight knots) is very traditional and beautiful with its unique wood grain. Nordic Spruce sauna wood is popular for use in Finland and European traditional saunas. Actual board size is 9/16" thick by 3 3/8" wide face coverage. Features a traditional v-groove style tounge & groove milling pattern, with pressure relief grooves in back for air flow. Kiln dried to 6 - 8% moisture.
Hemlock Tounge and Groove Wood Paneling
Our 3" wide Tounge & Groove Hemlock sauna wood paneling is a clear grain premium grade (no knots). Each tongue & groove paneling board is milled to perfection. Actual board size is 3" wide coverage and 1/2" thick with lengths available up to 10 feet. Traditional v-groove style tounge and groove boards. Hemlock wood is strong, lightweight, had very good water resistance, and generally does not warp or shrink over time. Hemlock that has been treated with paraffin oil becomes much darker and has a very red cedar look to it.

Sauna enthusiasts love our "stout benches" with double the thickness of most benches on the market and built to last a lifetime. Our benches are made with premium 1 3/4" × 5 1/2" clear grained basswood lumber or clear select 1 1/2" × 5 1/2" red cedar. Benches have soft, fully rounded edges for maximum comfort. Even in the hottest sauna, they are always cool to the touch. We select our bench boards specifically to be free of hot spots like knots or exposed fasteners. Standard wall-mounted benches are easily removed for sauna cleaning as only the rails are fastened to the wall. Bench spans of over 6 feet require pillar supports. Rubber foot pads are used any time a bench support comes in contact with the floor, to prevent moisture wicking into wood fibers. Several sizes of portable benches are also available or we can custom build to your specifications. Typical sauna bench dimensions are 18" or 24" deep by length of the longest wall. 18" benches are fine for sitting, 24" deep benches are best for having room to lay down. Red cedar is the true classic for a traditional steam sauna while basswood benches stay lighter longer compared to cedar.

Superior Sauna door and cornter trim stock, a beautiful addition to complete your sauna project. Cedar / Basswood will match most light or dark sauna paneling, or select wood type to contrast with your sauna wood paneling, such as bright Basswood trim against Red Cedar sauna paneling or darker Cedar trim against white Aspen paneling. Clear select basswood 3/4" × 3 1/2" and 3/4" × 1 1/2" or clear select red cedar 11/16" × 3 1/2" and 11/16" × 1 1/2". Both available in 5', 8' or 10' lengths.
Door trim transitions from low profile inside edge to full thickness at outer edge. Cut door trim at 45 deg. angles on corners for seamless look. Cedar door trim dimensions: 7/16" × 2 1/8". Basswood door trim: 3/4" × 2 1/4" thick.
Cove molding is the ideal choice for trimming out walls and ceilings. Available in clear select Cedar or Basswood. Cedar and basswood cove molding is 3/4" × 3/4".
Ipe Wood Sauna Floor Tile
Eco-friendly Ipe tiles won't end up in the trash bin in 10 or even 20 years, as they will far outlast any other sauna flooring material. Features a natural wood surface to walk on, UV resistant plastic drainage base held together with stainless steel screws. All tiles and reducers are pre-coated with a preservative oil to provide some initial protection from the fading effect of strong sunlight.

Cedar Flooring Tile Snap Together
Easily snap together a steam or infrared sauna floor (duckboard) in minutes. These beautiful square tiles are made with the finest Western Red Cedar and utilize an easy snap-together plastic grid base. Any excess water flows through wood on plastic grids, then evaporates off of floor. Floor temperatures in saunas are always cooler, so cedar tiles with a plastic base are completely safe to use. The classic style can be set in conventional brick pattern or with all wood slats aligned in the same direction.

Aluminum Foil Vapor Barrier
One of the necessary components for traditional sauna room construction. Foil vapor barrier will protect the building structure by blocking moisture from getting inside walls. Staple foil vapor barrier behind T&G sauna wood paneling on walls and ceiling. It also adds 1R insulation efficiency by reflecting radiant heat back into sauna room. Sauna foil vapor barrier is also commonly used in walls near tub/shower for bath room remodeling. The foil barrier outlasts plastic vapor barriers which will deteriorate from heat and release gases (and no longer protect walls from moisture). Gain 1R of insulation and the reflective heat efficiency of aluminum foil radiating behind the paneling structure. This is the proper sauna foil vapor barrier made for new construction or remodeled saunas.
Stainless Steel Finishing Nails
Make sauna wood T&G paneling and trim installation a breeze and ensure your sauna walls will stay "streak free" for the life of the sauna. Other types of sauna nails will eventually corrode and leave streaks and stains on sauna wood. Choose from several different types and sizes of bonded nail packs to fit a variety of pneumatic finishing nail and brad nail guns. Available in 16 or 18 gauge in boxes of 500, 1000 or 2500.

What is the timeline for shipping?
Depending on the product orders will ship from the warehouse within 1 to 5 business days with typically 3 to 5 days in transit. Only occasionally orders may take up to 3 weeks depending on very heavy sales volumes and product availability. Superior Sauna currently ships by U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail and FedEx Ground, daily Mon-Fri. We do not ship on weekends or holidays.
Otherwise for FedEx Express: Orders placed before 1pm Central Standard Time should allow for us to schedule an Express pickup before the daily cutoff, otherwise next scheduled Express pickup day.
What is the return window?
Returns must be made within 30 days of receiving your goods.
What should I expect with freight orders?
For pallet shipping of orders: sauna kits, large Do-It-Yourself parts, commercial sauna heaters, sauna or steam room doors, etc., the U.S. Special freight company will pick up the order from our factory and transfer the order to beyond carrier if outside the Midwest. Sauna kit and custom DIY parts order delivery lead time is usually 2-4 weeks, depending on how many custom sauna orders are currently in production. Freight orders ship weekdays typically 3 to 7 days in transit in the US. Your order is delivered to your driveway, which can be unloaded by hand in bundles with 2 people or with fork lift at delivery site. Most bundles are between 10 and 40 lbs, sauna doors approx. 80 lbs., and wood sauna stoves are approx. 130 lbs.
